Completed in February 1889, CPR's Windsor Street Terminus, as it was know then, included a freight depot, passenger terminus, an elaborate vaulted waiting room, a ladies' waiting room, a tub and shower room and a barber shop. Within a few years, the Company had outgrown the original building and soon commissioned the first of several extensions.
