The first Canadian Pacific Railway transcontinental passenger train from Montreal arrives at the Pacific terminal of Port Moody, B.C., "sharp on time".
The first scheduled CPR transcontinental train arrived at noon on July 4th, 1886 at Port Moody, British Columbia. The "history-making-train", pulled by locomotive No. 371, was an S.C. 4-4-0 designed by Francis Brown.
